Follow these steps to safely replace the battery cartridge in your APC UPS. The RBC43 is compatible with many APC models including SMT2200RM2U, SMT200RM2UC, SMT3000RM2U, SMT2200RM2UNC, SMT2200US, SMT3000RM2UC, SMT3000RM2UNC, SMT3000US, SUA2200RM2U, SUA2200RM2US, SUA3000RM2U, SUA3000RMT2U, SUA3000RMUS, SUM3000RMXL2U, SUM1500RMXL2U, SUM3000RMXL2U and select others.

1. Prepare o UPS: Ensure the UPS is powered off and disconnected from the main power source. If hot-swapping, ensure the UPS supports this feature and follow specific hot-swap procedures.
2. Access the Battery Compartment: Open the front panel or access door of your UPS to expose the battery compartment.
3. Desconecte a bateria antiga: Carefully disconnect the battery cables from the old battery cartridge. Note the orientation of the connectors (usually color-coded).
4. Remova a bateria antiga: Slide the old battery cartridge out of the UPS unit. Be aware that the battery is heavy (approximately 42 pounds or 18-32 kg).
5. Prepare New Battery: Unpack the new APC RBC43 battery cartridge.
6. Insira a bateria nova: Carefully slide the new RBC43 cartridge into the UPS compartment, ensuring it is fully seated.
7. Conecte a nova bateria: Reconnect the battery cables to the new cartridge, matching the color coding or previous orientation.
8. Bateria segura: Close and secure the battery compartment door or front panel.
