3. Configuração

3.1 Fonte de alimentação

The RunCam Thumb 2 does not include a built-in battery and requires an external 5V DC power supply. You can power the camera using a power bank or by connecting it to your flight controller's Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC).

Insert a Micro SD card (not included) into the Micro SD Card Slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly with the contacts facing the camera body. The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 128GB.

4.1 Operação básica

• Ligar/desligar: Press and hold the button to power the camera on or off.

4.3 Estabilização do Girofluxo

With its built-in gyroscope, the camera generates Gyro data files, enabling smooth and stabilized video output using Gyroflow software. This feature significantly enhances video quality by reducing unwanted shakes and vibrations.

4.4 Remote Control Recording

Controle remoto via UART (recomendado)

For remote control, connect the camera to your flight controller via UART. For example, with a Speedy Bee-F7 flight controller:

• Solder the power wire of the Type-C control cable to the 5V pad on the flight controller.
• Solder the GND wire to the GND pad.
• Solder the Tx wire to an R3 pad and the Rx wire to a T3 pad (or equivalent UART pins on your specific flight controller).

4.5 Configurações da câmera via aplicativo RunCam (código QR)

Adjust camera settings such as resolution, saturation, exposure, and recording mode using the RunCam App. The app generates a QR code that the camera scans to apply the settings.

1. Go to the RunCam App and select "Thumb 2".
2. Configure your desired settings and generate a QR code within the app.
3. Power on the camera. Double-press the button to switch to scanning mode; the indicator light will turn solid green.
4. Use the camera to scan the generated QR code from the RunCam App. The light will turn solid red upon successful scanning. Optimal scanning distance is approximately 25mm.
