1. Introdução

This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Stack-On PSF-817K Security Plus Fire Safe. The Stack-On PSF-817K Security Plus Fire Safe is ETL fire rated to withstand temperatures up to 1700°F for 90 minutes. It features a solid steel body, a reinforced pry-resistant door with 2 live-action locking bolts and 2 steel dead bolts, totaling 4 durable locking points. Access is managed via an electronic lock with an emergency override key. An alarm activates after three incorrect code entries.

4. Configuração

4.1 Desembalagem e Colocação

1. Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Due to its weight (approximately 175 lbs), it is recommended to have assistance.
2. Place the safe in its desired location. Ensure the surface is level and stable.
3. Inspect the safe for any shipping damage.

4.2 Battery Installation for Electronic Lock

The electronic lock requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the door or behind the keypad.

2. Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled mounting holes on the bottom interior.
3. Using the safe as a template, mark the drilling points on the floor.
4. Move the safe aside and drill pilot holes into the floor using an appropriate drill bit for your floor type (concrete, wood, etc.).

4.4 Setting Your Personal Access Code

It is crucial to set a personal access code immediately after battery installation.

1. With the safe door open, locate the red or green reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge or battery compartment.
2. Press the reset button. The keypad will emit a beep, and an indicator light (usually yellow or green) will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
4. Press the '#' button to confirm. The keypad will beep twice, and the indicator light will flash green, confirming the new code is set.
5. Test the new code: With the door still open, enter your new code followed by '#'. The bolts should retract, and the green light should illuminate. If it works, close the door and test again.
6. If the code does not work, repeat the steps from 4.4.1.

5.1 Opening the Safe with Your Access Code

1. Locate the keyhole, usually concealed behind a removable cover on the keypad or near the handle.
2. Insert the emergency override key into the keyhole.
3. Turn the key clockwise (or counter-clockwise) while simultaneously turning the safe handle to open the door.
4. Once the door is open, you can replace batteries or reset the code if necessary.

5.4 Anti-Theft Alarm Function

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm. If three consecutive incorrect codes are entered, the alarm will activate, and the keypad will lock for a short period (e.g., 5 minutes). During this lockout period, no codes can be entered, and the alarm will sound. To silence the alarm, use the emergency override key to open the safe or wait for the lockout period to expire.
