The kit includes various guide combs to achieve different hair lengths. The standard guide combs range from 1/16" to 1" (sizes #1/2 to #8). Specialty combs include left and right ear tapers, and an eyebrow comb.

To attach a guide comb, align the front teeth of the comb with the clipper blade, then press down on the back of the comb until it clicks securely into place. To detach, push the back of the comb off first, then roll it forward to release.

Haircutting with the Main Clipper

Select the desired guide comb for the hair length you wish to achieve. For best results, start with a longer comb and gradually move to shorter lengths if needed. The adjustable taper lever allows for fine-tuning cutting lengths without changing guide combs. Always cut against the direction of hair growth for an even cut. Use the barber comb to lift hair and guide the clipper.

Using the Battery-Operated Trimmer

The battery-operated trimmer is ideal for detailing, necklines, sideburns, and light beard trimming. Use the smaller guide combs provided with the trimmer for precise length control. For close trimming, use the trimmer without a guide comb, holding the blade flat against the skin.

For a more thorough cleaning, you may carefully remove the blades according to the product's specific instructions (if applicable) and brush away debris.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity, oil the blades regularly, ideally after every few haircuts or at least once a month. Apply 2-3 drops of Wahl clipper oil across the top of the blades and 1 drop on each side of the blade heel. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil, then wipe off any excess with a soft cloth.
