4. Configuração e instalação

This door closer is designed for quick and universal installation on most out-swinging screen and storm doors. All necessary mounting hardware is included.

1. Determine o local de montagem: The closer can be mounted at the top, middle, or bottom of the door. For optimal performance and ease of use with the EZ-Hold feature, a lower mounting position is often preferred. Ensure there is sufficient clearance for the closer to operate freely.

The Wright Products V2010BL features EZ-Hold technology for convenient door operation.

5.1. EZ-Hold Feature

The EZ-Hold feature allows you to keep your door open at any desired position without manual latches. To engage the hold-open function:

• Open the door to your desired position.
• Lightly tap the button on the side of the closer cylinder with your foot or hand. The button will depress and hold the door open.

To release the hold-open function and allow the door to close:

• Simply push the door open slightly further (approximately 2 inches). The button will release, and the door will begin to close smoothly.

6.1. Adjusting Closing Speed

The closing speed of your door can be easily adjusted without tools using the thumbscrew located at the end of the closer cylinder.

• To Decrease Closing Speed (Slower): Turn the thumbscrew counter-clockwise.
• To Increase Closing Speed (Faster): Turn the thumbscrew clockwise.

Make small adjustments and test the door's closing speed after each adjustment until the desired speed is achieved. The goal is a smooth, controlled close that allows the door to latch without slamming.

• Door Slams Shut: The closing speed is too fast. Turn the adjusting thumbscrew counter-clockwise in small increments until the desired slower speed is achieved.
• Door Does Not Close Fully or Latch: The closing speed is too slow, or the door is encountering resistance. Turn the adjusting thumbscrew clockwise in small increments to increase speed. Check for obstructions or binding in the door hinges or frame. Ensure the door is not too heavy for a single standard-duty closer.
• EZ-Hold Feature Does Not Engage: Ensure the door is opened far enough for the button to be pressed. Check for any debris preventing the button from fully depressing.
• EZ-Hold Feature Does Not Release: Push the door open slightly further (about 2 inches) to disengage the mechanism. If it still doesn't release, check for any binding or obstruction around the button.
• Closer Leaks Oil: If the closer cylinder is leaking oil, it indicates an internal seal failure. The unit should be replaced.
