1. Introdução

4. Configuração

4.1 Fixação do molinete à vara de pesca

  1. Alinhe a base do molinete com o suporte do molinete na sua vara de pesca.
  2. Tighten the reel seat's locking nuts until the reel is firmly secured and does not wobble. Do not overtighten.

4.2 Enrolando a linha de pesca

Proper line spooling is crucial for optimal performance.

  1. Pass the fishing line through the rod guides, starting from the tip.
  2. Tie the line to the reel's spool using an arbor knot or similar secure knot.
  3. Close the bail (if applicable) or engage the level wind.

  5. Fill the spool to approximately 1/8 inch (3mm) from the rim. Overfilling can cause tangles.

5. Operando o carretel

5.1 Ajuste do Sistema de Arrasto

The drag system controls the amount of resistance the line experiences when a fish pulls on it. Adjust the drag before casting.

  • A good starting point for drag is about 25-30% of your line's breaking strength.

5.2 Fundição

  1. Engage the free spool lever (often labeled "ON" or "Free Spool") to allow the line to run freely.

  3. Perform your casting motion.
  4. As the lure or bait approaches the target, gently feather the spool with your thumb to control the cast distance and prevent backlashes.
  5. Once the lure hits the water, disengage the free spool lever by turning the handle slightly or pressing the lever back to the "OFF" position.

5.3 Retrieving Line

Turn the handle clockwise to retrieve the line. The level wind system will guide the line evenly onto the spool.

6. Manutenção

A manutenção regular prolonga a vida útil e o desempenho do seu molinete.

  • Após cada uso: Rinse the reel thoroughly with fresh water, especially after saltwater exposure. Allow it to air dry completely.
  • Lubrificação: Periodically apply a small amount of reel oil to moving parts (handle shaft, level wind worm gear) and reel grease to gears. Refer to a reel schematic for specific lubrication points if available.
  • Armazenar: Store the reel in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Loosen the drag completely during storage to prevent drag washer compression.
  • Inspeção: Regularly inspect the reel for any signs of wear, damage, or loose screws. Address issues promptly.
