2. Configuração

Ligando a calculadora

The Sharp EL-1901 calculator is primarily powered by an AC adapter. Locate the AC adapter port on the side or rear of the calculator and plug in the provided adapter. Connect the adapter to a standard electrical outlet.

For backup or memory retention, the calculator also requires 1 CR2032 battery. Ensure this battery is installed correctly in its compartment, typically located on the underside of the unit, to maintain settings and memory during power interruptions or when the AC adapter is disconnected.

3. Instruções de operação

Operações básicas

To turn the calculator ON, press the LIGADO/DESLIGADO button. The main 12-digit display will illuminate. The secondary 5-line display will show previous entries or be blank if reset.

• Entrada de número: Use the numeric keypad (0-9, 00, .) to enter values.
• Operaçoes aritimeticas: Use o + (addition), - (subtraction), x (multiplication), and ÷ (division) keys. Press = to calculate the result.
• Limpar entrada/Limpar tudo: O C/CE key clears the last entry. Pressing it twice typically clears all entries and resets the calculation.
• Retrocesso: Use o ← key to delete the last digit entered.
• Change Sign: Use o +/- key to change the sign of the displayed number.

Paperless Printing and Scrolling Display

The secondary 5-line LCD acts as your digital "paper tape," displaying up to 300 lines of previous calculations. Use the ▲ (para cima e ▼ (down) arrow keys to scroll through your entry history.

Check and Correct Function

Este recurso permite que você review and edit past entries. While viewing the history on the secondary display:

• Usar ▲ e ▼ to navigate to the entry you wish to correct.
• Pressione o CORRETO key. Enter the new value.
• Imprensa INSERIR to add a new line before the selected entry, or EXCLUIR to remove the selected entry.
• The calculator will automatically recalculate the total based on your changes.
• To clear all entries from the secondary display, press the APAGAR TUDO chave.

Funções especiais

• Cost/Sell/Margin (COST, SELL, MGN): These keys simplify profit margin calculations. Enter any two variables (cost, selling price, or margin percentage), and the calculator will automatically compute the third.
• Tax Keys (TAX+, TAX-): Use these keys for quick tax calculations. Set the tax rate using the TAXA DEFINIDA botão.
• Total Geral (GT): Accumulates the results of multiple calculations. Press GT Exibir o total geral.
• Memory Keys (M+, M-, M*, M/): Store and recall values from memory.

  • M*: Multiplies the displayed value with memory.
  • M/: Divides the displayed value with memory.
  • RM/CM: Recalls memory content / Clears memory content.

4. Manutenção

Limpeza

Para limpar a calculadora, use um pano macio e seco. Para sujeira mais resistente, umedeça levemente.ampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use strong solvents or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or displays.

Substituição da bateria

The calculator uses one CR2032 battery for memory backup. If the display shows erratic behavior or memory functions are unreliable when the AC adapter is disconnected, the battery may need replacement.

1. Ensure the calculator is turned off and disconnected from the AC power.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the calculator.
3. Open the compartment cover (you may need a small screwdriver).
4. Remove the old CR2032 battery and insert a new one, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
