4. Configuração: Instalação da bateria

The thermometer requires two AAA batteries for operation. These are included in the package.

5.3. Switching Between Forehead Mode and Surface Mode

The thermometer can measure both body temperature and surface temperature of objects.

• Forehead temperature is typically 0.5-1.0°F (0.3-0.6°C) lower than oral temperature. Average normal forehead temperature ranges from 97.0-98.9°F (36.1-37.2°C).
• If the temperature displayed is lower than 89.6°F (32°C) or if the thermometer is aimed at the air instead of the forehead, the display may show 'Lo'. Retake the temperature by aiming the thermometer at the center of the forehead, between 1.2"-2" from the skin.
• An impact or drop may damage the product accuracy. Handle with care.
• Allow the thermometer to acclimate to ambient temperature for at least 30 minutes if there is a significant change in the environment (e.g., moving from outdoors to indoors).
• Allow 3-5 seconds between consecutive measurements for optimal accuracy.
