5. Configuração

5.1 Initial PIN Setup

1. Carregue o dispositivo: Before first use, connect the Aegis Secure Key to a powered USB port for approximately 30-60 minutes to ensure the internal battery is charged. The blue LED will blink during charging and turn solid when fully charged.
2. Ligar: Pressione o Desbloquear button (green padlock) to power on the device. The red and green LEDs will illuminate.

   • Pressione o Trancar button (red padlock) and the '7' key simultaneously. The red and green LEDs will blink.
   • Enter a new Admin PIN (7-16 digits).

5.2 Creating User PINs (Optional)

The Admin can create up to 10 User PINs. User PINs can access data but cannot change device settings.

1. Unlock the device with the Admin PIN.

3. Enter a new User PIN (7-16 digits).

6.1 Desbloqueando o dispositivo

1. Connect the Aegis Secure Key to a USB port.
2. Pressione o Desbloquear button. The red LED will illuminate.
3. Enter your Admin or User PIN.
4. Pressione o Desbloquear button. The green LED will illuminate, and the device will be accessible.

6.2 Locking the Device

To secure your data, always lock the device when not in use.

• Bloqueio manual: Pressione o Trancar button. The red LED will illuminate.
• Bloqueio automático: The device will automatically lock after a period of inactivity (default is 30 minutes, configurable by Admin).
• Desconectando: Disconnecting the device from the USB port will automatically lock it.
