5. Configuração

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device using the USB cable.

1. Carga inicial: Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the device and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
2. Indicador de carga: A green light will flash while charging. The light will become steady green when the device is fully charged.
3. Colocação: For optimal bug zapping, place the lantern away from human activity, ideally 5-7 feet high and 20 feet away from where people gather. This draws insects away from you. For general illumination, place it where light is needed.

6. Instruções de operação

The device features two primary buttons on the top panel:

• Botão de energia (⏻): Controls the LED lantern light. Press to cycle through light modes (Low, Medium, High, Off).
• Zapper Button (🦋): Activates the UV bug zapper. Press to turn the zapper ON or OFF. The UV light will illuminate when the zapper is active.

You can use the LED lantern and the bug zapper independently or simultaneously.

7. Carregamento

The PIC Solar Portable Lantern & Bug Zapper offers two charging methods:

7.1 Carregamento Solar

Place the device in direct sunlight with the solar panel facing upwards. The solar panel will automatically charge the internal battery. Charging time varies depending on sunlight intensity and duration. For best results, ensure the solar panel is clean and unobstructed.

7.2 Carregamento USB

For faster charging or when solar charging is not feasible, use the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the device's USB port and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer). The green indicator light will flash during charging and turn solid when fully charged.

A full charge typically provides several hours of operation, depending on the mode (lantern only, zapper only, or both) and light intensity setting.

• Cleaning the Zapper Grid: Over time, dead insects may accumulate on the high-voltage grid, reducing its effectiveness.

  2. Use a small, non-metallic brush (e.g., an old toothbrush or a brush specifically designed for cleaning electronics) to gently brush away any insect debris from the grid.
  3. Do not use water or cleaning solutions directly on the grid.
