The Vicks No Touch Thermometer comes with 2 AAA alkaline batteries included. Follow these steps to install them:

Taking a Forehead Temperature
- Ensure the thermometer is in Forehead mode (indicated on the display). If not, press the "MODE" button to switch.
- Position the thermometer approximately 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) from the center of the forehead.
- Press and release the power button (measurement button).
- The temperature reading will appear on the display within 2 seconds. The screen color will indicate temperature status (Green: Normal, Yellow: Elevated, Red: High).
Taking Object/Liquid Temperature (Food, Bath Water)
- Press the "MODE" button to switch to Object/Liquid mode.
- Position the thermometer approximately 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) from the surface of the object or liquid.
- Press and release the power button (measurement button).
- The temperature reading will appear on the display within 2 seconds.
