2. Configuração

Conectando o Microfone

  1. Choose the appropriate grid: The microphone comes with two grids. The Soft Boost Grid provides a 3 dB soft boost at 8-20 kHz, while the High Boost Grid introduces a 10 dB soft boost. Select the grid that best suits your acoustic environment and desired sound profile.
  2. Attach the MicroDot Connector: The microphone features a MicroDot connector. Connect this to your chosen adapter for compatibility with various professional wireless systems or XLR inputs. Ensure the connection is secure.
  3. Secure the microphone: For optimal sound capture, clip the lavalier microphone to clothing, approximately 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) below the chin, ensuring it is not obstructed by fabric.

Alimentação do microfone

The DPA 4660 CORE microphone is a pre-polarized condenser microphone and requires phantom power (typically 48V) or a compatible power supply from your wireless transmitter or audio interface. Ensure your connected device provides the necessary power.

3. Instruções de operação

Operação básica

  1. Posicionamento: Place the microphone in a location that minimizes rubbing against clothing or other objects, which can cause unwanted noise.
  2. Configuração de ganho: Adjust the input gain on your mixer or wireless receiver to achieve an optimal signal level without clipping. The microphone has an audio sensitivity of 134 dB.
  3. Monitoramento: Always monitor the audio output to ensure clear sound capture and to identify any potential issues.

Padrão polar omnidirecional

The 4660 CORE features an omnidirectional polar pattern, meaning it picks up sound equally from all directions. This makes it ideal for situations where the sound source may move, or where ambient sound is desired. Be mindful of background noise in your environment.

4. Manutenção

Limpeza

Armazenar

Store the microphone in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and humidity. Use the original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage during transport or storage.

Humidity and Sweat Resistance

Thanks to its Double Vent Protection System, the microphone is highly resistant to humidity and sweat. However, prolonged exposure to excessive moisture should still be avoided to ensure the longevity of the product.
