O capô pode funcionar em dois modos:

• Exhaust Air Mode: Fumes are extracted and discharged outside through a ventilation duct.
• Recirculating Air Mode: Fumes are filtered through activated charcoal filters and the purified air is returned to the kitchen.

3.1 Desembalagem e Componentes

Carefully unpack the appliance and check for any damage. Ensure all components are present:

• 1 x Cooker Hood Unit
• 1 x Grease Filter (pre-installed or separate)
• 2 x Activated Carbon Filters (for recirculation mode)
• Mounting Hardware (screws, wall plugs, brackets)

3.2 Montagem do Capô

The Klarstein Monumenta is a wall-mounted canopy hood. Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the hood (approx. 12.5 kg / 27.5 lbs). Maintain the recommended distance between the cooking surface and the bottom of the hood as specified in local building codes and the detailed manual.

• Mark drilling points on the wall according to the provided template.

4. Instruções de operação

The Klarstein Monumenta extractor hood features a user-friendly 5-button control panel located on the front.

4.1 Funções do Painel de Controle

O painel de controle normalmente inclui botões para:

• Ligar/desligar: Para ligar ou desligar o capô.
• Seleção de velocidade do ventilador: Three distinct power levels (1, 2, 3) are available to adjust the extraction rate according to your cooking needs.
• Luz LIGADA/DESLIGADA: To control the integrated LED lighting (2 x 1.5 watts) for illuminating your cooking area.

It is recommended to switch on the extractor hood a few minutes before you start cooking and leave it running for a few minutes after you finish to ensure all fumes and odors are effectively removed.

5. Manutenção

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your extractor hood. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Limpeza do filtro de gordura

The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to prevent grease buildup and maintain extraction efficiency. The central front flap can be opened for easy access.

• Remove the grease filter by releasing its latches.
• Wash the filter by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher using a mild detergent.

5.2 Replacing Activated Carbon Filters (Recirculation Mode)

If your hood is operating in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filters need to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage) as they cannot be washed. Used filters lose their odor-absorbing capacity.

• Remove the grease filter to access the activated carbon filters.
