3. Principais características

3.1. Bi-direction PD 45W Fast-Charging

The VB50 supports PD 3.0 technology, offering up to 45W of power delivery through its USB-C port. This allows for rapid charging of compatible devices, such as charging a Samsung S24 Ultra to 50% in approximately 20 minutes. When paired with a 45W (or higher) fast-charging GaN charger, the battery can be fully charged in just 1.5 hours.

3.2. Multiple Interfaces

Equipped with a variety of output ports, the VB50 offers broad compatibility. It includes USB-C, USB-A, DC 8V, DC 12V, BP, and D-TAP ports, making it suitable for powering a wide range of devices such as Sony, Canon, and Nikon cameras, Ninja and SmallHD monitors, iPhones, and Samsung devices. Additionally, it features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes on its V-mount backplate for secure mounting with accessories like ball heads or clamps.

3.3. Compact & Powerful Design

Measuring only 4.21 x 2.87 x 1.33 inches and weighing 11.64oz, the VB50 is designed for portability, easily fitting into a pocket. Despite its compact size, it boasts a 3400mAh capacity, capable of charging a MacBook Pro 14" (0.6 times), an iPhone 15/16 Pro Max (2 times), or powering a Canon R5 C for approximately 3.5 hours. Its capacity also makes it suitable for air travel.

3.4. Real-Time Power Monitoring

The battery features a bright OLED screen that provides real-time information on port status, voltage, power output, and remaining battery life. This eliminates guesswork and allows for precise power management. Controls include a single click to wake the screen, a double click to toggle between voltage and power displays, and a long press (3 seconds) to disable USB-C, USB-A, and DC ports to halt discharging.

3.5. Safe & Reliable Operation

The SMALLRIG VB50 is equipped with an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) that provides comprehensive protection against short circuits, over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current, over-charge, and over-discharge. It is certified by FCC, MSDS, UN38.3, IEC 62133, and UL2054/UL62368, ensuring the safety of both the battery and connected equipment.

4. Configuração

4.1. Carregamento inicial

Before first use, fully charge the SMALLRIG VB50 battery. Connect a USB-C cable from a 45W (or above) PD fast-charging GaN charger to the USB-C port on the battery. The OLED screen will indicate the charging status and battery percentage. Uma carga completa normalmente leva cerca de 1.5 horas.

4.2. Montagem (Opcional)

If using with a camera rig, attach the V-mount battery to a compatible V-mount plate on your setup. The battery also features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes on its V-mount backplate, allowing for direct attachment to various camera accessories or clamps.

5.1. Powering On/Off and Screen Control
