3. Configuração

3.1 Initial Charging (Eco-Drive)

Your Citizen Eco-Drive watch is powered by light. Before initial use, ensure the watch is fully charged by exposing the dial to a bright light source (natural sunlight is ideal) for several hours. Avoid placing the watch in direct sunlight for extended periods in extremely hot environments to prevent overheating. The power reserve indicator will show the current charge level.

Upon receiving your watch, it may require initial time and date setting. Refer to the detailed instructions in the 'Operating' section for atomic time synchronization, which will automatically set the correct time and date once a signal is received. 4.1 Atomic Timekeeping Synchronization

The watch automatically receives time signals from atomic clocks for precise accuracy. Ensure the watch is placed in an area with good signal reception, typically near a window, especially overnight. The watch will attempt to synchronize daily. Consult the full manual for specific instructions on initiating manual reception or checking reception status.

4.2 World Time Adjustment

To adjust the time for different world cities (43 available), use the crown and pushers to select the desired city code. The watch will automatically display the correct time for that region, taking into account daylight saving time if applicable.

The 1/100 second chronograph can measure elapsed time up to 24 hours. Use the designated pushers to start, stop, and reset the chronograph. The sub-dials will display the measured time.

The perpetual calendar automatically adjusts for the varying lengths of months and leap years, ensuring the correct date is always displayed without manual adjustment until the year 2100.
